SUK-M: Key Questions

SUK-M utilizes Thorium-based MSR technology, ensuring enhanced safety and reduced waste production. This innovative design minimizes environmental impact and offers a cleaner energy alternative for future generations. 


SUK-M requires replacing of the module only every 10–15 years, significantly reducing operational costs and downtime. This extended cycle ensures consistent energy output and minimizes the need for frequent maintenance, making it a cost-effective solution. 


SUK-M can be operated in co-generation mode wherein the electricity and steam can be produced simultaneously. SUK-M’s modular design allows for flexible deployment, catering to diverse energy needs across various locations. Its compact structure enables easy installation and scalability, making it ideal for both urban and remote areas. 


SUK-M contributes significantly to India's Net-Zero 2070 goal by providing a clean, indigenous energy source. By reducing reliance on fossil fuels, SUK-M helps lower carbon emissions and promotes a sustainable energy ecosystem. 


SUK-M can be placed in the Urban sites like Residential Colony, Townships, close to National Highways Corridors, Malls, IT Parks, Institutions, Hospitals, etc.
SUK-M can also be placed in the sites like Brownfield sites, Remote locations, Isolated Area, Emergency Services like Hospitals and Strategic usages.
